And thats a wrap. Thanks everyone for all of your support this year. I really feel like were becoming a part of Buffalos culture! My main objective this season was to grow a viable business while keeping true to my ideals. Paying my riders a living wage is important to me. Giving back to our community is important to me. Not taking advantage of our customers or vendors is important to me. Building rapport and assembling a team that people are not only happy to do business with, but also just happy to see around is important to me. Lousy weather aside, this was by far our most successful season yet. Thank you. And thanks to all of my riders. Seriously some of the hardest working guys and gals around. I was blessed. Looking forward, my goal for next year is to put in place the processes which will allow for this business to operate without me. Well also be moving into our own warehouse, and Im going to be completely transparent with my guys on the finances, not only in the hopes that it instills a sense of ownership, but also to teach them something about business and overhead. Considering theyre actually doing most of the work, well do a 50/50 profit share. Our 3 Childrens Hospital rides this year were very rewarding. Thanks to everybody who helped make them happen. I think everyone was able to have a chance to do it. We will make it a yearly thing and itll be self-funded. However successful this business may be, its still very seasonal. As much as I would love for 4 steady months of work to provide us with a year round income, it cant. Haha. So for the next few months I will continue my research and planning on a colder weather business idea I have. As far as I can tell there are only 3 similar businesses in America doing this right now, and they seem to be growing, so I promise its a unique concept. Ill set it up as a worker owned business to ensure that we all have a stake in its success and that youre getting our best. I leave for Colorado on Saturday where Ill stay until the first week of March. Afterwards Im going to New Orleans where Ill begin one of my dream adventures and ride a bicycle back home. (On a single speed beach cruise no less!) See ya sometime next April!
