And the incompetence continues, Finally after about 45 minutes - TopicsExpress

And the incompetence continues, Finally after about 45 minutes the guy in the compact shows back up with a half inch ratchet and an obviously brand new 15 inch extension and 30mm socket. Everything is still scattered about the ground, hubcaps.extenders, spare etc. He does everything but break his new ratchet with no luck whatsoever and leaves apologizing for not being able to fix it. By now Ive got Good Sams number memorized..so we call again. She tells me the kid who just left advised them that he couldnt do it because my lug nuts were stripped out!! Do what? If they are its because he did it!.. (they were not)..We have been on the side of the road almost 4 hours. I call them back and they are sorry.. they will send another truck from Tucson and he will be there in an hour. O boy. This time a legitimate mobile service tech show up.. Hes got a good attitude and proceeds to work..only to find out he also has no socket to fit my lugs. He calls for a fellow service truck to come by and loan him a socket.. So now were sitting here waiting on him. He carries a conversation well but its 95 out here. I pull out the awning on the MH. 5 hours . its 200 pm now. Earlier I had called a Michelin dealer in Tucson where I was going to buy a new matching tire if I could just get there in the next 9 hours before they closed. The guy at TCI in Tucson was extremely helpful and even told me about a special discount that they offered to members of FMCA (Family Motor Coach Assoc.) members. I got on the smart phone and joined online while waiting again. Probably the best $50 Ive spent so far. After waiting a while on the guy with a socket. the tech decides to try one more time with his smaller hand set and a cheater bar. One lug nut.. then two and eventually all 8. Viola!! its off.. and about that time the guy shows up with the socket!.. High fives all around and in just a few minutes we are off again on the gauged original tire. We make it to TCI at 445 pm. they are sweeping the shop and preparing to close. Luckily the guy remembered talking to me that morning and they worked me in. He had the EXACT tire I needed and one of the fastest tire men Ive ever seen! Within a few minutes I was good to go with a brand new tire at over $150 FMCA discount. They even gave me a lightly used spare tire for my trailer! And get this.. since my membership was so new, he couldnt pull it up on the computer yet.. they sent me off without charging me a dime agreeing to figure it out tomorrow.,! IF YOU ARE EVER IN THE TUCSON AREA AND NEED TIRES YOU WILL NOT REGRET GOING TO TCI. THEY ARE AMAZING! GOOD SAMS ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE... NOT SO MUCH! Whats the number for Coachnet? And yes, we finally made it home to Texas with our recently discharged US Marine son in law, daughter and 3 yoa granddaughter with no further issues. (still havent been charged for that tire).
