Anderson Lynne Mar, my dear friend as well as my original promoter and mentor, has passed away. Anderson Mar is the lady who first launched my career, five years ago this month. She guided me from Day 1, granting me an opportunity to start an anything-goes dance party experience called LEGACY, a night born within Club Bohemia at Cantab Lounge. None of what I have experienced these first five years - the shows, the achievements, the countless amazing people I have met - would have been remotely possible without the blessing of Andersons friendship, as well as her vision and her leadership. There are no words that can convey her impact on my life, or all who were close to her. She always made a sincere effort to support my work in the clubs, from Cantab to RISE to Good Life and all points in between. She made more guest appearances on my radio shows than anyone else. Every chance she got, she told me I was a rock star. Ironic, considering Anderson was Bostons TRUE rock star. She loved the music. She LIVED the music. And I love her. I would tell her whenever I could. And I would always make sure to tell anyone who happened to be next to us that she was the one who made this all happen for me. Rest in paradise and power, Anderson Mar. Love. For life.
