Andorra 500, registrations are open! Recently retired from motorcycle competition, Cyril Despres announced two months ago that he was organising a road regularity rally for classic motorcycles next summer in Andorra. With his car racing schedule for next year now fixed and the costings finalised he is able to give further details. The event will be held on the 4/5/6/7 June 2015 with the first day reserved for scrutineering, a prologue and a parade through town. The following three days participants will tackle three 150 kilometres loops run over tarmac mountain roads; though with a nod to his rally-raid career they will be navigated using a Tripy electronic road book. The competition element comes from a series of timed specials to be ridden at a pre-determined average speed over closed roads. Those more interested in a festive atmosphere and the chance to spend four days with likeminded enthusiasts from around the world will also be made very welcome. The cost of participating in the event is 1250 € including 4 nights hotel accommodation in a 3 star hotel at the rally HQ, breakfast, lunch in the mountains on the rally route, diner, mechanical assistance and sweeper truck, medical assistance along the route, Tripy rental and all the logistics associated with running the specials, evening entertainment and the gala price giving. A number of Cyril’s friends from the world a motorcycle racing have already announced their intention to take part in the event and several sponsors will be contributing to what already look like being a copious goodies bag.
