Andrew has asked me to let you all know that he loves you all very much and that he is doing well. This is one of those times when Facebook can be handy because there is no signal in the hospital and its been difficult to keep everyone updated. He suffered cardiac arrest and had a massive heart attack today. It took 20 minutes of intense fighting, chest pumping, adrenaline, electric shocks and telling him to get right back in to his body before he stopped flat lining. But he came through, and for the staff at addenbrookes we cannot thank them enough for not giving up on him. I was by his side the whole time, it really is a miracle he survived as it all happened as we went through the doors of A&E with what we thought was probably a trapped nerve- if it had happened even 10 minutes earlier in the car park or elsewhere this would be a very different message. He is currently in Papworth Hospital where we were transferred straight after and he has come through the emergency procedure well. We really did nearly loose him but thank god he has made it.
