Andy Murray is nursing an injured shoulder ahead of his Mubadala World Tennis Championship final against Novak Djokovic. The Brit crushed Spanish star Rafael Nadal 6-2 6-0 but had moments of pain during the win in Abu Dhabi on Friday. Murray, 27, said it was the first time he felt pain in his left shoulder and suggested he could withdraw from the final if it did not improve. Its a bit sore actually, he told reporters after his win. I dont know what exactly happened. Ive never had anything happen to my left shoulder before, obviously I use it on my backhand and not so much, Ive never had an issue like that before. So its pretty sore and after the match when I was reaching up to sign autographs it was quite painful. Ive seen the physio just now, had some treatment and had some ice and Ill do some more treatment when I get back to the room and see how I feel when I wake up tomorrow. This is quite a strange thing because Ive never felt anything in my left shoulder before so Ill have to see whats up with it. Murray was dominant against Nadal, who failed to take his opportunities and was punished. But the world number six said it was a closer contest than the scoreline suggested. Today was a tough match, I mean 6-2 6-0 sounds easy and it wasnt like that, Murray said. There were a lot of long games, both of us, he had a lot of break points, a lot of deuce-advantage games but I managed to win a lot of the important points and that always helps but it was a good quality match from my side anyway and I moved well. It was good progress from yesterday.
