Andy Update: I realize some of my friends who are following Andys progress may not be on his private support page. I have shifted a bit and am mostly posting updates there. Since hes able to post updates for himself, it seems a bit redundant to have me doing it, too. But for those of you who arent on the page here is whats up at the moment! Andys knee is progressing and hes anxious to get some weight on it. (Slowly, but surely!) He and his surgeon talked about his left shoulder, which he still does not have use of at the moment. They are going to do a scan to check out his auxiliary nerve to see if it is growing, or if it is severed. Our hope/finger-cross moment is that it is growing, and even though it only grows 1mm a month, it is still a measurable growth! Of course we will tackle the alternative, too, which would likely include some loss of mobility in that arm, but its impossible not to remain optimistic, grateful, and hopeful as the next leg of the journey unfolds. Whatever it is, we can work it out! Today he surprised everyone by baring weight on both legs and walking! They even upgraded him to a walker!!! Yes!!! Progress happening everyday!!
