Animal CPR classes are available, please check in your area for these classes. Actually this CPR was not done correctly and if this dog was really out and dying this would not have worked. First check for any pulse in their neck or groin, sweep mouth with your fingers only if not breathing, or you could be severely bitten, make sure the tongue isnt blocking the airway by gently pulling it out. Do two nose to mouth breaths and then begin chest compressions. You need to do consistent compressions over the mid to upper chest, one every 10 seconds( not really hard, just enough to see the chest compress, could break ribs) and alternate mouth to nose breathing(Putting your mouth over the nose while keeping the mouth closed.) Recheck the pulse and that the tongue is not blocking the airway. Continue alternating the chest compressions and nose breathing until the animal breathes on its own or it cannot be revived. If it is from heat stroke, cover the animal in cool towels but not ice cold. Continue CPR and get to a Vet immediately.
