Animal Lovers, Campaigners, please dont ask me or my audience to join a petition unless it is with an organisation that are prepared to open their books and show me their effectiveness with their use of donations. PETITIONS are MOSTLY used as a method, a collector of CONTACTS, so that the orgs can continue asking you for more money. Im really not interested in that behaviour, i find it insidious, and ineffective at achieving the stated objectives.. Im a professional fundraiser, and I have a reasonable awareness of these processes, the modus operandi, and the lucrative nature of Petitions asking weak animal lovers for money, using emotional persuasion. To xyz, I am certainly committed to helping drain the tanks, but right now have humans to help survive, a world to fix, and really I dont think CHANGE org are much good at the process, and I believe that they have their own agendas, extracting money from people who cant afford to waste it... I have a rule of spending my sponsors funds in a transparent and accountable way, to ensure that they are all used in the most efficient way, and not burned up along the path running organisations, but get directly to the people that need the help.
