Announcement! I wanted to let everybody know that after very careful thought and much emotional stress I have decided that I will no longer be photographing weddings. The only possible way for me to take a new wedding photography job in to consideration is if the client is willing to pay more than 1/2 total balance (wedding balances vary between $2800-$3200) and acknowledge that all deposits are non refundable regardless of any situation and absolutely no photos will be taken unless payment has been made in full by the time of contracted due date. I have had far too many booked and contracted weddings just for 2014 cancel due to personal issues, new wedding destinations, and non ability to pay and I simply can no longer take such a gamble on how I am going to provide for my family and it seems standard family, baby, graduation, etc bookings are much more reliable than the possibility of weddings. My dad always taught me do not count your chickens before the eggs hatch and this is something I for some reason have had a hard time learning. This has been a really hard decision for me because I simply love weddings, the beauty in capturing such an important day in a families life, and even more I love my clients and do not want to upset anybody by my decision.
