Announcement of DJI DROPSAFE Drop Speed Reduction System DJI announces DJI DROPSAFE Drop Speed Reduction System, which is designed to slow the speed of your aircraft in the event of an emergency. It deploys in less than half a second, and is effective at a minimum altitude of 6 meters. The reusable design weighs less than 550g, adding very little weight to your flight payload. Features DUAL SAFETY MECHANISMS & SELF-CHECKING LED The DropSafe has both electrical and mechanical safety mechanisms to ensure there is never any accidental deployment. Fully compatible with the DJI S1000, S1000 + and S900 flying platforms. Note: Because of the payload capacities of the S800 and S800 EVO, DJI does not recommend use of the DropSafe with these systems when they are fully loaded with a gimbal, camera, and other accessories. If the S800 or S800 EVO is flown without a full payload, then the DropSafe may be used. Compatible with DJI A2 flight control systems and supports command inputs from RC transmitters. When using these systems, the motor power can be set to automatically cut off when the DropSafe is deployed.
