Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers 7pm, Friday February 6, 2015 In accordance with Article 8 of the Constitution and Section XV of the By-Laws, the Executive Committee of the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand (FCCT) hereby provides notice to all members that the 2015 annual general meeting and election of officers will be held on Friday, 6 February 2015, at the FCCT clubhouse, commencing at 7pm. An agenda for the meeting along with minutes of the 2014 AGM is available in the FCCT office for perusal by any member in good standing during regular business hours. Any other requests for information are subject to an appointment being made in writing and confirmed at least two working days in advance. Nomination forms for election of officers to serve on the Executive Committee are also available in the FCCT office. In accordance with the by-laws, nominations must reach the Executive Committee, in writing, at least seven days prior to the meeting. Nominations may, however, also be made during the meeting from the floor with the consent of the nominee. Please note that only members in good standing are eligible to nominate officers, to vote and to hold office. To be in good standing a member must (1) reside in Thailand, (2) have paid all applicable fees, dues and assessments, and (3) not be subject to disqualification. Only correspondent members may nominate and cast votes for candidates for the six posts which must be held by correspondent members; those posts are president, first vice-president, second vice-president, and three of the six non-specific directors. Any member in good standing may nominate and cast votes for candidates for the other six elective posts; those posts are treasurer, recording secretary, corresponding secretary and the remaining three of the six non-specific directors. All votes must be cast in person. Correspondent members unable to attend the meeting may cast their votes by absentee ballot or by proxy held by another correspondent member who is in attendance. Proxy and absentee ballot forms are available from the office. All members are cordially invited and encouraged to attend. The AGM is the best opportunity to express your views to those who will manage and represent the FCCT on your behalf throughout 2015.
