Annual TREE PLANTING PROGRAM I just want to stretch our community base for support, local and international at Green Initiative Zambia. Green Initiative Zambia among other programs/projects has been running the Tree Planting program every year since 2012. In 2012 we won an Energy Globe - The Award and Platform for Environmental... Award for sustainability and as a largest tree planting organisation in Zambia. Lats year we managed to plant more trees and continued monitoring the existing ones What Now??? We have been given a large area by the government of Zambia as our office (for now) because we would like to create our own nursery for different species of tree. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO REALIZE THIS ACTIVITY! What Need!!! 1. Seedlings for indigenous trees (preferably nitrogen fixing tree and medicinal, endangered, threatened) 2. Fruit trees (including wild fruits) 3. Pine 4. Green House ( medium for nurseries) 5. Nursery sowing cups and other related equipment 6. 1 Tonne truck 7. GPS (2 pairs) 8. Binoculars (2 pairs) 9. 4 Bicycles 10. Sprinkler network I would like to ask you to use the connections you know to assist us if you cant personally so that we can start preparing seedlings for this coming planting season. We are open to discuss how you can help Green Initiative Zambia continue greening and cleaning Zambia through planting and monitoring, education and research. We are just spreading our net wide.
