Another #DidYouKnow: Jeannette Rankin was elected in 1916, before the 19th Amendment was ratified! She was a fierce advocate for womens right to vote. On November 3, 1914, Montana men voted in favor of equal suffrage. That year Montana joined 9 other western states in extending voting rights to non-Native women.
