Another PC full-of-it story! I knew we had reached the point of stupid when I saw a VIOLENCE Warning for the 1950s Lone Ranger TV Show on the Old Western Movies & TV Shows Cable Channel. Four-Year-Old Preschooler SUSPENDED Over Toy Gun • Mother Angry At Punishment: “Anybody can look at this gun and say its a fake” Steve Watson Infowars Oct 17, 2013 It’s that time of week again, where we bring you our regular feature, which stupid school suspended a kid over a toy gun this week? And the award goes to Swazye Elementary School in in Monroe, Louisiana, where “leaders” (since when did teachers get re-branded to leaders?) freaked out over a preschooler bringing an airsoft gun to school in his bag. Katherine Burks told reporters at KNOE news that she received a phone call from panicked teachers who declared that there was an “emergency” involving her son. “I’m like what’s going on im thinking he done hurt himself real bad you know but they come telling me about a fake gun he done brought to school” Burks said. Swazye Principle Dana Jenkins told Berks that her four-year-old son had informed a teacher that he had a gun in his backpack – instantly sparking a panicked knee-jerk reaction from the school, as the principal called Ouachita Parish Sheriffs deputies. After dragging the boy’s brother and sister into the incident, the boy reportedly told the principal that his mother had put the toy in his bag. “Anybody can look at this gun and say its a fake gun you know this should have been a warning not to bring a fake gun to the school” the mother said. The child, barely old enough to understand his punishment, has been suspended from school for five days. “Suspended, a preschool student suspended! I never heard of that” Burks added. Of course, like the other hundreds of cases of schools overreacting to anything remotely resembling a gun, this case will be reviewed, and perhaps after the panic dies down, the punishment will be rescinded. At least that has yet again proven to be the outcome in a case involving 8-year-old Jordan Bennett from St. Cloud, Florida, who was suspended earlier this month for forming his hand into the shape of a gun. WKMG-TV reports that the suspension was reversed, with the Osceola School Board apologizing to the boy’s mother. “This should not have happened to an 8-year-old child,” Bonnie Bennett told board members. “This punishment was a result of an overzealous administration in my opinion.” “There are rules and state statutes in place for contacting of parents for suspension and that I don’t think we followed,” the School Board Chairman said, adding that “What happened in this incident was not violent, there was no assault, no battery, and no profanity. It defies logic.” Mrs Bennett urged parents who find themselves in similar situations with their children to fight back. “If its wrong, speak up. Say something, because schools are not one hundred percent right.” she urged. —————————————————————- Steve Watson is the London based writer and editor for Alex Jones’ Infowars, andPrisonplanet.
