A note from the shows host Jay Mass: Discovering electro through techno Bass Agenda’s host Andy produces his show to connect listeners with authentic electro music. Starting as a mix series on SoundCloud, the show was soon to blossom into the fortnightly slot it is today on Future Music FM. Bass Agenda is designed to make electro accessible to newcomers, provide more detail and insight for seasoned listeners and place new and virtually unknown artists on a platform also shared by some of the biggest names in the genre. Regular features of the show include the Techno Fix (with Jay Mass), guest mix, the Old School Cut (selected by DJ Skye from Borg Recordings) and Big In Japan (selected by Tokyo Electric Beat Park) – all this together with artist interviews, unreleased exclusives and some of the best electro from the latest releases. I can trace my love for electro back to two key releases, both by Dave Clarke. His X-mix and Electro Boogie 2 releases literally blew me away. I love techno and many other genres – but electro is the only one I am totally obsessed by. It is, in my opinion, the last remaining truly underground genre.
