Another busy week in the local multiplexes. Two big wide releases coming out with Laikas new stop-motion animation extravaganza The Boxtrolls and Denzel Washingtons reboot of a favorite 80s TV show The Equalizer. However, weve got all sorts of indie stuff going on too. The Bill Hader/Kristin Wiig comedy The Skeleton Twins opens this week not only at the Enzian but also at the AMC Downtown Disney and at the Tampa. The Regal Winter Park Village gets the acclaimed British relationship dramedy The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby as well as the compelling German World War II drama The Notebook. Out at the AMC Loews Universal Cineplex there is the faith-based comedy Believe Me as well as the true Civil War drama Field of Lost Shoes. Theres also the faith-based musical drama The Song which can be found at the AMC Altamonte Mall, the AMC The Loop and the Regal Waterford Lakes. Going further afield, the Cinematique in Daytona is adding the Philip Seymour Hoffman spy thriller A Most Wanted Man with a Sunday Staycation screening of the marine documentary Turtle: The Incredible Journey. The Tampa also has a free sneak preview screening on Saturday of the true life British drama Pride, about a Gay rights group that supports a mining strike and ends up as very unusual allies. Finally, for those who want to support the Sun-Ray out in Jacksonville, theyre adding the aforementioned A Most Wanted Man plus the Kevin Kline/Maggie Smith comedy My Old Lady. They also have a couple of special screenings - the surfing documentary Thundercloud a week from Thursday, and the oddball cult comedy Nothing Lasts Forever on Saturday - with the director in attendance.
