Another day in the critical care of a tiny baby boy brought in - TopicsExpress

Another day in the critical care of a tiny baby boy brought in with severe head wounds and maggots. Each day starts with alternating warm and cool compresses. Today another large chunk of dead skin sloughed from the wound in his baby head, He is eating pretty much on his own but afterwards needs a serious face washing as he tires out and tends to fall face first into his baby food and looks like we spread it on his face with a trowel. But after his meds, washing, cuddling, and having his room cleaned and disinfected and a new warmy and fresh fleece beds, he slipped off to sleep and rest and heal. He is improving, his right eye is more open and I can see that he tracks me as I move about caring for him. , His left one is still so very swollen along with the left side of his face it is too early to tell what condition it is inor if it is even still there. But he purrs and cries for attention and each day is one more chance to save his life and turn him around. So tomorrow with all the other work at the Sanctuary time will be found for a baby angle who needs us.
