Another great organization to share is the The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) which works towards fostering wild orphaned elephant calves in Kenya. DSWT partners with the Kenya Wildlife Service to rehabilitate elephant calves orphaned through the brutal ivory trade with the eventual aim of releasing them in the wild in Tsavo East National Park. They do not solicit funds so donors need to contact them in order to foster an elephant orphan. The trust is run by Dame Daphne Sheldrick, widow of the game warden who helped establish Tsavo as a national park in Kenya.
