I had a funeral today, I have been to so many funerals in my life too many actually. I thought this one was going to be so so hard. I have a friend that I have known for 43 yrs, I had Zach and six days later she had her son. They went to school together and graduated together. Both took different paths after high school. Well at the young age of 30 he past away. When they say we are going to celebrate the life of so and so at a funeral I have never ever walked away feeling it was a happy celebration of life until today. There were prayers and speeches and music and stories, but then the food was out and the family was mingling and then the blue grass music played and the celebration began. I felt so different today, left feeling closure but most of all true family love and support and like it was a wedding or baby shower as in a new beginning not a end. So Lorne you were felt there,your smirk and spirit and funk made that goodbye and major life changing event for many.RIP with no more suffering and play your mandolin and fish freely now!
