Another recipe. This one is legit and it is something that I came up with one afternoon when my son was about10 or so. He and his buddy Andrew were hungry and I didnt have anything quick and easy so I came up with this. Since I didnt know what I was doing, I just found what I had and put it together and called it the Experiment. I know that Cindy Burdick Tarr has made it and she and Ken like it. I like it too so here goes. You will need... 1.5 to 2 pounds of meat. I use lean Hamburger. 2 cups (more if you like) of the red green and yellow twisty noodles from Sams One can Rotel tomatoes and chiles 1 small can tomato sauce 2 medium to large potatoes garlic powder or garlic salt Sams club Canadian steak seasoning It dry and in a big bottle Water oil for frying Do all of this at the same time It takes two skillets and a pot Boil water in the pot with a lot of the garlic salt or powder for the noodles and cook the noodles until they just start getting soft Dont over cook them they get mushy and without the garlic they taste kind of bland cut up the potatoes and fry nice and crisp in a skillet with the oil. I cube them about 1/2 inch square. Brown the meat with about a quarter cup of the steak seasoning, more or less to your taste or smell. Yes, I cook a lot by the way it smells Add the tomato sauce and Rotel to the meat with about 4 cans of water again more or less to your taste and simmer for a few minutes or until it is as thick as you like. Add in the potatoes and noodles, mix it all up and its ready. I serve it with garlic bread. Makes a huge mess but it sure is good. I make this in a 14 inch skillet and the skillet is full so make sure you have a big enough pot or whatever. It is also sorta spicy so be warned. Now... With all this being said, I didnt have any potatoes today so I added one large onion to the meat before it was finished cooking. and this time, I added one can of diced tomatoes. Like I said, its an experiment and its my recipe. I can change it if I want and I bought a pot for this today so its not in a skillet. :)
