This is the week that we talked about. Im sorry that I havent gotten out more info earlier. The sicky bug attacked last week so Ive been out of commission XP. Anyway! I will be posting information around the hall about this even as well as having a sign-in sheet and liability waivers for yall to sign ( If you choose to participate in the fast portion of this event.. There are a couple options for you to choose from. If you think you can do it, you can choose to fast for a total of 30 hours straight this fast will start Thursday at 11:00am (So you can have brunch then no more!) and end Friday at 5:00pm. The second option will start on Wednesday morning (Starting with the first meal you normally eat) and end again Friday at 5:00pm. This option involves eating either one meal a day until Friday or skipping a meal. If you normally eat two meals a day, eat one. If you normally eat 3 meals a day, eat 2. This is a fast that has no bearing on health or weight loss. The purpose of this fast is to get a taste of what it feels like to not have food regularly and to get an understanding of what hunger is. DO NOT participate in this fast if this will bring up issues with body image or eating disorders. DO NOT participate in this fast if your goal of fasting is to lose weight or gain control of food. This is not a health fast but a perspective fast. If you have questions or concerns, let me know and ask me. If you want to participate in either fast, come to my room in 107 and get a waiver and sign up so I can have a tally. (I will also be participating :D ) Regardless of whether or not you fast, I will have a program at 4:00pm on Friday in the 2nd floor lounge where we will play some games. At 5, we will all head down to the dining hall together to break our fast together! Look more more info to come!
