Another week gone by on the Save the Romany campaign and some positive updates. Lots of people working hard behind the scenes on the Community Interest Company, dealing with all the paperwork, engaging solicitors to assist and getting it prepared to be registered at Companies House. On Monday the MPLTC announced on their website that Abid David was unlikely to continue with his plans to build a childrens nursery and that he would prefer the site to be transferred to the community. The Tennis Club further commented that they would like to work with him to achieve another outcome particularly facilitating a sale to a CIC On Thursday MPLTC announced an EGM was to be held on 19th August where all bids will be discussed and members can decide on the best way forward for the Romany site. There are still many hurdles to jump but its reassuring that there are some good discussions going forward.
