Another year of SportsXtra is in the books. Weve had a great run the last 3 1/3 years, featuring more than 2,400 prep athletes and coaches in Forsyth County. Thanks to all the coaches, athletics directors, and kids for their willingness to participate. I appreciate the efforts of my writing staff, who a lot of times had to go the extra mile to get the goods this year: Dan Kibler, Steve Hanf, Craig Greenlee, Daniel Braswell, Rob Low, J.P. Mundy, and Matt Parmesano. As the editor of the section, Ive found out Im a pretty good organizer. Happy the writing staff delivers the goods, the photographers make everything look pretty, and the page designers and layout folks in Hickory have an eye to tie everything together week after week. I subscribe to the theory that everyone has a story to tell and I hope the section has reflected that. We have some exceptional student-athletes and coaches in the Winston-Salem area who excel both on and off of their playing surfaces. Its a treat to be able to highlight that during the school year.
