On the How I met Your Mother Ending: A Short Essay After one - TopicsExpress

On the How I met Your Mother Ending: A Short Essay After one day of thinking about it I have arrived at this conclusion. Ted loved the mother. Ted loved her very much. But if you were in his shoes and the love of your life died, does death change the moments when you did see her as the one? And Is it really anyones fault if Tracy did die? Life in itself would agree that no matter how you love a person, sometimes you dont get to spend a lifetime with them. And Ted, he was one of those people, but it isnt anyones business if he goes to Robin and tells her he still loves her, after all Ted has always had that bond with Robin and oftentimes, the bond between tightly knit friends is one that may never break and he has all the right to, he has after all been alone for six years. Theres nothing wrong with that. Tracy was the love of his life and it doesnt mean that if Robin was the one he ultimately ended up with that He loved Tracy any less. I think it was unfair for us to judge the way the ending was written when we base it on the abrupt change of barneys character from the ultimate crazy lover and back to the sociopath of the gang. Firstly, its terrible that people want to force it in them that Barney needed to stay the way he was. Point being, if Barney returned back to his old self, it was only because they split up with Robin, true to life as it gets the show has taught us that sometimes marriage doesnt work out especially when the things you once had is no longer strong enough to keep you together. Besides, even if you argue that there was an intense character build up for the new and improved Barney during Season 8, you should focus on questioning why there was no equally intense explanation on the falling action which clarified how Barney and Robin resorted to a divorce rather than getting mad at how Barney went back to his old self. Once you understand that the reason why Barney returned back to his old self was because his relationship with Robin (Which was the only reason why he had a new character in the first place) ended, so dont blame the story just blame the insufficiency of the time allotted for the same story to be told decently because with better explanations come a better understanding of things. The problem with you critics is that youre not a credible source once you react the moment you finish watching the episode, overcome with mixed emotions and what.
