Anthony Spencer has no doubt he will be ready for the Sept. 8 - TopicsExpress

Anthony Spencer has no doubt he will be ready for the Sept. 8 regular-season opener against the New York Giants, but playing in a preseason game is not such a sure thing. Spencer is two weeks removed from knee surgery. With a move from outside linebacker to defensive end this year, Spencer is hoping to play in a preseason game to feel more comfortable in the switch, “but if I can’t, I can’t.” He knows his knee, which bothered him during the offseason, is improved. “Just walking around I can feel it’s better,” Spencer said. Spencer is not able to run yet, but he is lifting, working on the elliptical machine and stair master a little. “I still can’t do running around and stuff like I want to do, so I don’t feel encouraged now,” Spencer said, “but I’ve still got time so I’m working on getting healthy.” - ESPN Dallas
