As many of you will know the Luangwa is one of the few places in Africa where you can go on safari and have a qualified doctor on stand by in case of any illness or emergency. This service is paid for by members of the LSA which I Chair. However today we were meant to hand over the doctors reigns from Dr Ted Willis (who has been here for 3 months doing a fantastic job), to the new Dr. Unfortunately the new doc has fallen ill and this has left us in the unusual situation of not having a doc here to look after guests, staff and local people at the rural health centre.
