... Any employer in Uganda is faced with the problem of a lousy work ethic. Our people work so hard to get a job but when they get it, they then act as if the process of getting the job was the upper limit of their exertion. After getting the job, they sit back to enjoy what the job has to offer without putting much effort into it and many of our young people have grown up believing that wealth is obtained through trickery not through hard work. This is the material employers have to work with and if they have to survive, they have to instil discipline which many of our people interpret as harshness.
