Any of my friends who are considering ordering anything from F+W Media - Adams Media - Krause Publications, you *might* want to reconsider. On July 9, I purchased 4 books online from F+W Media. When they arrived, the packing slip identified the company as F+W Media - Adams Media - Krause Publications...not just F+W Media. On July 17, I returned 2 of the books for a refund, persuant to the instructions on the packing slip. I enclosed the following letter: Dear F+W Media, Please credit my PayPal account for the purchase price of the two books I am returning: GD TO LITERARY AGENTS 2014 - $7.99 NOVEL & SHORT STORY MARKET 2014 - $7.99 Thank you. Margaret Cutter The instructions on the packing slip stated that credit/refund would be sent within 4-6 weeks upon receipt of the request. According to USPS tracking, the return package was received in Fairfield, Ohio, on July 21. It has been much longer than 4-6 weeks and I am still waiting for my refund of $15.98 for the 2 books I returned. I have made numerous attempts to call the customer service number (800-258-0929), which I found at the top of the packing slip. After the initial recorded message (Thank you for calling Krause Book Store. This call will be recorded for quality assurance.), I am put on hold with music for a few minutes, then the recorded voice returns to inform me that no one is available to help, and I should call back at some later time. I am then disconnected. I find this extremely frustrating. On September 30, I e-mailed their customer service department (after tracking down their e-mail online - no e-mail address was on the packing slip) with the above information, and the request that they please look into this, and let me know when I should expect my refund. I have heard nothing from F+W Media. Just thought I would share this information with everyone here.
