Anyone a reader/follower of Seth Godin s books/blog? Im forever grateful of being one of the lucky 15 to be chosen for Seth Godins week-long intensive in his office in New York last month. Every summer, Seth puts on a program like this (free of charge!) and this year my group was chosen from over 500 applicants from all over the world. I felt so SO lucky, and as I walked into his office I remembered feeling a little intimidated (he is curt on his blog sometimes, and my 14 other classmates - consisting of entrepreneurs, change-makers and artists - have super impressive profiles!) - but what I didnt expect was to be moved by the kindness and generosity of the group. You can read more about his intensive-course here: sethgodin.typepad/the_agenda_session/ In 5 days, I had a clearer understanding and direction of what and how I want to conduct my projects and business. My priority list is re-drawn, my doubts disappeared, as Seth had challenged us to embrace our fears (for life!), to keep on shipping and making art. I am most impressed by Seth the person. He is incredibly generous, kind and caring. He even cooked for us that week (food and company was great!). He willingly shared his knowledge and experiences with us, and that made us less nervous about sharing about our own experiences. I am most touched by his genuine love for people and his passion for teaching and helping the future generations. I still think about him and the team everyday, and I really miss the special space we had to share our journey and lives together, in that very limited amount of time. Id encourage everyone to try applying for Seths intensive, and if you get as lucky as me too, Im sure itll be one of the most memorable times of your lives too!
