A long time anti-jihad warrior, and Marine officer, confirmed something for me this morning: for the better part of two decades, young soldiers have been indoctrinated to believe there are happy, forward-thinking Muslims and there are terrorists, who twist the teaching of Mohammed and fuel their hatred of the west. This strategic delusion has become so vital to their sense of mission in the Middle East that many of our own guys get agitated, and nervous, if you remind them that Mohammed himself was the crackpot who wrote all the hate verses that both sets of Muslims revere. The Utopian notion that a stable western Democracy can be built on the foundation of Islam is critical to fulfilling their sense of service, and the blood and treasure they lost securing Iraq and Afghanistan. But the cheerful blue fingers of Iraqis voting werent very effective defending places like Raqqa in Northern Iraq from the beheadings and crucifixions that are now common there. Muslims are members of a death cult, and like all cult members they recognize who among them reveres the dark lord of death more fervently. They arent very good at standing firm against evil -- BECAUSE WE WERE TOO KIND to remind them of their error. The raping, murdering, torturing ISIS thugs are only repeating the poison the moderates heard as children, and we were too politically correct to remind them, there is a better way. You cannot win wars like this. You need to find the source of the evil and confront it. Otherwise, you will be having a discussion with one of our soldiers someday, and you will wonder why you are not getting anywhere, and then you will watch his wife walk around the corner, fully veiled. Its a great crime to consider Islam a religion.
