Anyone here familiar with the Hokuto No Ken saga?... AKA Fist of the North Star... Anyone kinda see Ryu as the Kenshiro character in the vein of Assassins Fist? And Gouki similar to Ra-Oh? Not as far as storyline is concerned but just the background and the lineage of the characters... Raoh & Gouki both believed their could only be one true successor to their Hokuto Shinken/ Ansatsuken styles of fighting & were willing to kill close family members and loved ones in battle to become heir to their styles... In the anime Hokuto Shinken is referred to as an Ansatsuken style of fighting because it is a killing art just as the style Ryu & Ken use... In the anime Kenshiro is the adopted brother just as Ryu is Goukens Adopted son... It is later found out that Kenshiro is not adopted at all and that Ra-Oh & Toki are his blood relatives just as Ryu may later find out about his own lineage and not being an adopted family member after all... Ryu looking like Kenshiro here... omae wa mo shindeiru!
