Seafaring CREW wanted …… Spacetocreate community arts is looking to recruit 15 people working in Pembrokeshire to be the stars of “Living by the sea”, which will involve working with a group of pupils studying photography at Milford Haven School and supporting them to create a multi-media exhibition that will go on show at the Torch Theatre Gallery throughout January 2014. The project is being delivered in partnership with the Port of Milford Haven and Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum as part of Seafarers Awareness Week 2013, the annual campaign to raise awareness of Britain’s dependence on seafarers. The result of the project will be an exhibition of 15 black and white photographic portraits accompanied by sound recordings documenting the lives and experiences of seafarers and those whose livelihoods connect them to the sea. Can you help us to find people who have an interesting story to tell and would be willing to participate in one of three portrait photography and sound recording sessions that will take place on 17 October, 7 and 21 November at venues in Milford Haven.
