Anyone who brashly asserts no change is needed in his or her life - TopicsExpress

Anyone who brashly asserts no change is needed in his or her life isnt paying ATTENTION! Every life has doubt, worry, fear, failure, frustration, unfulfilled dreams and unsuccessful relationships...in some combination. The memory and consequences of our past often haunt us and trouble us. Recognizing the need for change in our lives, though, doesnt mean the changes will bring about...hope, joy, peace and fulfillment. We need some power greater than ourselves - or we wouldnt be where we ARE! So...where can we turn to? Where lies the hope for a changed life? It lies in an encounter with He, who is the Lord of all Hope: Jesus Christ. For a life turned over to Jesus, change is inevitable. With Jesus in charge, the old self - with its painful and destructive ways of thinking, feeling, loving and living - is transformed. The lives of the saints are valuable not ONLY for the virtue they reveal but also for the LESS than admirable qualities that also appear. Holiness is a gift from God to us as human beings. Life is a PROCESS. We respond to Gods gift, but sometimes with a lot of zigzagging. Even the saints must grow out of immaturity, narrow-mindedness and selfishness. It is because they - and we - do GROW that we are truly saints - persons who lives of God. A changed life is ALWAYS only a talk with Jesus away...
