Ok, Im cool with concealed carry... out of sight out of mind most pistols have a lower range than say rifles. So as personal defense... I can see it as a viable option in a threat being that close and unpredictable a pistol can give off a Hey you need to stop and leave now. effect. I have a hard time believing that Im going to run into a threat at 3-500 yards though (the accurate range of say a M16A2 or its cousin the popular AR-15), what is more disturbing to me is the thought of how many will be carrying these rifles (made for one purpose and one purpose only) that are not trained in what they can and will do. You can do a lot damage with the small 0.223 cal or 5.562mm ball bullet coming out at 2,800 fps... these bullets ricochet some thing terrible they enter and bounce. I wonder if the open carry gets what they want how many of them will consider what is behind and around the target before shooting. The day that pricks can walk around with assault rifles in the open is the day my ass is packing up my family and going bush... so do us all a favor and keep the high powered and long range toys at home in your safes if you really need it youll be at home any way cause the shit has really hit the fan.
