Anyone who knows me knows that I am not one to express my feelings - TopicsExpress

Anyone who knows me knows that I am not one to express my feelings on Facebook, but this past Saturday was very special so I am going to make an exception. God blessed me to walk my only daughter (and she is also my youngest child) down the aisle, I also gave her away and I performed the wedding ceremony (guess how I did that LOL). Giving your daughter away can be a troubling experience, if your daughter is marrying a knucklehead, a perplexing experience if you have reservations about your daughter’s husband, or relief and optimism if you believe your new son-in-law really loves your daughter, will be there for her and most important, loves God and will be a wonderful husband, father and priest of his house. I can gladly say that I fall in the last category. Although my son-in-law’s grandfather is no longer with us, I want to thank him for being the man in his life. I also want to thank his mother for doing an outstanding job of raising Demond Harris (not Wilson) as well as the role his grandmothers and grand-aunt played and continue to play in his life. PS Violet I have not forgotten your fish, and Daisy I am still looking for my potato salad.
