Apologies for not providing any further updates on Lake 3 before now. Up until now we had nothing further to report and since our last update have been in negotiations with all the parties involved with the lake, getting water tests done etc, etc, all which has taken time. So to end the recent speculations regarding Lake 3 the club would like to inform all members and prospective members of the following. After receiving a positive water quality report, which was recently carried out by Aquatic Consultancy Services and with the agreement of all parties involved the following stocking is to take place. 35 carp between 9lb and 16lb are to be stocked onto the lake before the start of the 2014/15 season. 18 of these have already been introduced, along with 2000 - 3000 silver fish. When the remainder of the Carp have been stocked we will update the post. Over the next 2 to 3 seasons the club will endeavour to continue to restock the lake with a cross section of species to cater for all types of angling. At this time we cannot confirm if any of the original stocks remain however the EA and other sources advise us it is rare to loose absolutely everything in these circumstances. Please be aware that Lake 3 is currently closed, as it does every year at the end of March and will reopen in June 2014.
