Apparently I am charismatic (not a term I used), passionate as well as responsible enough (what it possibly means is - senior in university hierarchy) to be asked at the very last minute to welcome and introduce the famous civil rights activist Rev Al Sharpton before his lecture and to say a few words extempore. Well, I dont mind speaking my mind about racism, diversity and/or equality - for I feel strongly about these - but the idea of representing an institution while being politically passionate comes with its own challenges.
