Apparently word is spreading through language communities about our emphasis and research in the area of using secondary language exposure to close achievement gaps in primary language acquisition. We are getting some fascinating resumes from native tongue language tutors. Now- upon average we need to vet 40 perspective teachers before we hit some one to hire- even as an intern or volunteer. But the burgeoning interest and slew of applicants may make a different fascinating language offered each day possible- plus one language offered 5 days a week as a partial immersion program. (Language offered contingent on the instructor) Depends on finding the right teachers- but with avalanche of resumes - the potential is definitely there! Jennifer Collins- Anna wants us to add Italian- tell her I did not forget - the materials were just really back ordered but will be in for May. Another exciting development angle on the horizon.
