Appears another good flu surge this week. Typical. School is out for Xmas break- get a couple of weeks back in- a week of a huge concert event and then now- please just put Tamiflu in the water supply :) To Tamiflu or not. That is the question. Right ? Dr Raley -what would you do? I mix a little in with my wine each night- that should be good enough? Seriously -who knows what the correct answer is. If you have it- sure- shortens duration by a day or so. If you are simply exposed- do you take it? How many times a season do you take it? How much money do you want to spend. I think if you have an exposure and you have some immediate plans for a trip,etc - sure. Take it. Are you high risk? Take it. Dont care about the cost? Take it. No shortage this year - at least yet. But if there was a shortage -assume would just be available for those who test positive. Not too late to get the vaccine. Some protection is better than none.
