Apple has bought ifixit. I am disgusted. Check out their new mission statement: Why “fix it yourself” when you can upgrade? No need to waste time repairing your Apple device. Upgrade it instead. With iFixit’s help, there will always be a newer, better device for sale. I thought it was a parody for a moment, but no, its real. I used an ifixit guide to completely disassemble and rebuild a 3GS for resale on eBay LAST NIGHT, and I wake up to this. This is absolutely Kafkesque. I am furious. My hands are shaking. I have been a dyed in the wool fanboy for 20 years. This has eroded a huge chunk of my world view. I want to get rid of all my stuff and sell my stock. I feel rage and hatred. ifixit
