Apples taste like apples, oranges taste like oranges and android - TopicsExpress

Apples taste like apples, oranges taste like oranges and android tastes like android. Many flavors to make the desert interesting. The world is a big party. Does everyone have to like the same thing? Absolutely no. That would make a boring cliche. After a lifetime of being a tech geek, I finally quit arguing cause it’s no point… Cause I resent how society elevates technology to such a high and mighty pedestal that every time there’s some sort of upgrade or downgrade, every year, the balance of nature falls apart, and humanity just gains a bigger ego. What’s the point of all this tech talk and comparison — when we should actually be talking and collaborating about how to use it towards something beautiful? The greatest photographers, writers, musicians, engineers, mathematicians, athletes, historians, etc… in the last 1000+ years did more without technology, aided by simple means like an ink bottle, quil, parchment paper and other rudimentary things people laugh about today. Lol… Compare the quality of animations from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s to what we have today. And I’m not talking about megapixels, resolution, 4K video, 3D or all that crap… It had an X-Factor. It’s evidently clear that people from the past were more “connected to what they did organically”, rather that us today who are more “connected to less permanent tech”. Ask the average musician today what he uses to compose and perform music. Instead of saying, “My guitar and voice, and I practice 6 hours a day.” He probably rattles a dozen different software and app titles and uses tech to auto-tune his awful sounding voice. He probably uses some app to make snazzy looking album art and promotes himself as a musician… Yawn… There’s a better way… Study photographers from the past and you’ll see how they were masters of light. No photo correction, no CGI, no special FX. Each photograph received the care of a new born baby. Once we get back to the basics, then we earn the right to use technology to amplify what’s already there. And I’m honestly sure that none of us need a million different features to accomplish what’s important. In fact, that’s counter-productive. Friends, Earthlings and countrymen, let’s enjoy the fruits and droids we love today, harmoniously, and elevate our consciousness to more important ideas :).
