Applications are now being accepted for a 10-week summer environmental internship for students majoring in Environmental Health. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Summer Program in Environmental Health (SUPEH) is a paid 10-week internship program for undergraduate students majoring in environmental health in a program accredited by the National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council (EHAC). Interns participate in activities with the Environmental Health Services Branch (EHSB) of CDCs National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH), where they gain environmental health experience and an understanding of environmental health work at the local, state, tribal, and federal levels. Application deadline is February 11, 2015. We strongly encourage members of underrepresented populations to apply! Learn more about how to apply: cdc.gov/nceh/ehs/supeh/application.htm. CDCs NCEH serves the public through responsive public health actions to promote healthy and safe environments and prevent harmful exposures. The EHSBs is to strengthen the role of state, local, and national environmental health programs and professionals to better anticipate, identify, and respond to adverse environmental exposures and the human health consequences of these exposures.
