April 1 is the target date to officially announce that Mercy Hot Springs hospital and physician clinic will be under new ownership. According to Arkansas Business, its still unclear what the name of the hospital will be. Last fall, Missouri-based Mercy Health Systems had signed a non-binding letter of intent to seel the Hot Springs facility to Catholic Health Initiatives. Once the deal is completed, Mercy Hot Springs will be operated as part of the Little Rock based St Vincents network. Terms of the deal have not been released.
