April 2nd,2013 Ridgebury Township Supervisors’ Meeting Minutes Randy Rightmire: Stated that he read in the paper about the school district’s donation of playground equipment to the park. He wanted to know if this was ever motioned on in a meeting. Supervisor Gee stated that this was talked about in a meeting and it is a donation. Mr.Rightmire also questioned the cost of maintaining the Park. Supervisor Yaggie explained that the maintenance costs for the Park include the Little League Fields. He went on to explain that there was an agreement made by a previous Board of Supervisors to maintain the Little League Fields in exchange for the Township acquiring the land.. Mr. Rightmire also questioned what would happen if someone were injured on the playground equipment. Supervisor Gee responded that the Township has Liability Insurance for that type of situation. Mr. Rightmire also questioned why the Road Crew does not remove items that lie or hang over the road. Mr. Rightmire also questioned why the machinery is constantly broken? Supervisor Gee responded that the equipment is old and outdated. A lengthy discussion followed. Mr. Rightmire also questioned the validity of the fuel logs, the pay rate of the Treasurer, and why the public is not allowed in the garage.
