Still on the 2nd Niger Bridge: Jonathan wants to build a 1.6km bridge for N117 billion while Gov Fashola in Lagos built a similar bridge of N1.3km bridge for N29 billion. After the ground breaking ceremony, which is the 2nd one after Obasanjos own in 2003, he gloated and said in self praise that hehas fulfilled his promise to the Southeast people! Questions: 1. What materials do they want to build the 2nd Niger bridge with? 2. Even as it will cost exorbitant N117b, why should it be paid for by the Southeast people through tolling for 25 years? 3. Is N117b too much for them to be given as social responsibility of the government? 4. If they are ones paying for it, why should Jonathan and PDP claim glory for it? 5. Given that this same ceremony was performed by Obasanjo as 2003 elections approached, and coming from Jonathan too as 2015 election draw near, is there anything different to cheer about, especially as he promised the same thing before 2011 election to deceive the Igbos? 6. Is he promising them virtual or real bridge? Can they drive and commute over ground breaking ceremony? 7. Is ground breaking what the Igbos want or the real bridge?
