Arbour Lake Collision Investigation Charges have now been laid in relation to a collision that occurred in the northwest yesterday evening. At approximately 11 p.m., on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a Ford Expedition and at least one house in the 800 block of Arbour Lake Road N.W. As a result of the collision, two homes received extensive fire damage and a third home received damage to the siding and roof. The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old man from Calgary, was transported to hospital in a serious condition, but has since been released. He was the lone occupant of the vehicle. Darren Mcdowell has now been charged with impaired driving and taking a vehicle without consent. His next court appearance is scheduled for Friday, July 26, 2013.
