[ Architect ] Location Gaza Field Type of Appointment Limited Duration Contract Deadline for Application 07 October 2014 Vacancy Announcement Number 04-09-2014 Grade Band E Department/Division Infrastructure & Camp Improvement Programme MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES In accordance with established Agency policy and procedures, the ideal candidate: Is responsible for the architectural design for all projects including infrastructure sewerage and drainage systems assign to him in the Infrastructure and Camp Improvement Programme; Establishes requirements of initial site surveys of projects in conjunction with the survey teams; Is responsible for all Architect/planners and Technical Assistants (CAD) assigned under his/her responsibility; Prepares preliminary and final design drawing( working drawing details) Carries out preliminary and final design drawing by using AutoCAD software. Assists the HDD in the coordination of projects with user departments. Ensures efficient performance of all staff assigned under his/her supervision; Liaises with the Site Engineers regarding issues arising during constructions; Performs such other duties as may be assigned; PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES A university degree in architecture. At least five years experience of which two years should have been office experience in design including public buildings development projects, infrastructure and setting out Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic. Ability to work in team/s; 2 Ability to work under pressure in an efficient and timely manner; Good communication skills. CONDITIONS OF SERVICE Basic Salary: Monthly basic salary $ 1,165,40; plus a currency adjustment factor (present rate 19.5%). Contract Duration: Eight months only. Other conditions of service and benefits may apply.
