Are the Damaras the right owners of this land? This is the question only the said group would ask themselves. If we are not... where else can we be from Surely not Nigeria? Ethiopia? Somalia? Egypt? Algeria? But... wait a minute! None of the mentioned natives do not share any clicks that we use in our language,in fact there is no northern or central African country who will convince me to be using our clicks. Only part that I know of is in the southern Africa.... to name but a few South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana etc. and if we only can find that in those countries> I surely can say the bushman found the Damaras in Namibia and we are rightfully if not the first then the second inhabitants of this republic. Al-Jazeera is currently here in Namibia to put Namibian history on film. I wonder if the Damara chiefs or relevant Damara Historians(the likes of Unam lecturer who studied the tribe and can fluently speak the language) were interviewed in the film. The history curriculum in schools left out the Damara people and thus learners are already confused,fooled and robbed off with true reality. Uptil now I can state that there is nothing about Damaras in the school history books. The Namas are stated were they are from(so they found the bushman here),The Basters are stated were they are from(and so they found the bushman here),The ovaHereros are stated were they are from(and so they found the bushman here), the Afrikaaners are stated were they from( and so they found the bushman here),little is known where the ovawambos are from and so the Caprivians and Kavango (but surely they found the bushman here). What happened was... the whoevers, who happened to write Namibian history were all chance takers or they were also part of the group who owes the Namibian people the truth. A lot has been covered under the blanket, a lot of information is cocked, It is not told as it is.What they rather did was to group the Damaras to Namas because they wanted to cover the significant connection of the Damara tribe to this part of Africa. To support my point futher, I have few statements to the elite group who happened to make research in Namibia to put things on black and white inorder to come up with Namibian history.Point1 If the Damaras were the sons and daughters of the Namas, How come the offspring show darker colors to the parenting group( from scientific proof, we can only conclude that this rarely happens in genetics, that pale complex parents get dark skin offspring). Again to get this point more interesting, the government of Namibia recently received human skeleton remains, there they were able to differentiate between the Damara and Nama skeletons. The Nama skeletons were characterized to be more smaller than the Damara skeletons. Given this findings again,one only question how it happens that short structured person end up being a parenting figure to a giant of its own world?.2. If we were perhaps from south Africa, say it again that the Xhosa or the Zulus were our parents, How come the Damaras never adopted a single word from their parental languages,we hardly find any xhosa word in Damara.3. If the bushman are also found in other countries like South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe, do want to say the tswanas found the bushman in Botswana? last but not list... the name to this countrys name derive from Damaras and so its capital city because the colonial runners knew the truth and they first came to meet the Damara on this soil. that is perhaps one other reason why the ruling party wants to change the colonial and perhaps the title of the state, because it doesnt correspond to their made up lies.
