Are we still calling them Children? Arent children, children in their thoughts? Arent they children in their words? Arent they children in their imagination? Arent they supposed to be playing hide and seek in their backyards, splitting in teams of two for football by the beach, arent they supposed to be grounded for sweet cravings before dinner and told off for skipping school yesterday? Arent they supposed to be learning how to be better at mistakes and quieter when picked at? Arent they supposed to be learning about numbers and cells and ways of life instead of F16s and shells and missiles? And were still calling them Children? Where have they gone with their childhood? Their childhoods are now forgotten in the rummages of homes, their childhood are now disguised behind the deafening pitches of their wars.
